Description
Until the advent of the modern Industrial Era, the ancient art of timber framing was part of the construction of most every building. Heritage Restorations has dismantled and restored over 350 historic American timber-framed buildings from the 18th and 19th centuries. Durkin will review the origins of timber framing from around the world and its development in America. He’ll cover the process of sourcing and recovering these ancient timbers, as well as their modern re-purposing in residential and commercial construction.
