With a vision for a new urban model, Austin Community College purchased the entire property of Highland Mall, Austin’s first indoor mall, to create an academic campus that has become the center of an innovative redevelopment district. ACC has partnered with RedLeaf Properties to repurpose surrounding parking lots on the 80-acre site into a pedestrian-friendly mix of commercial and residential uses. ACC Highland has become the catalyst for the revitalization of an entire region.
