Description
The Guadalupe-SaldaƱa Net-Zero Subdivision combines green affordable housing, net-zero energy performance, and social services to address all three pillars of sustainability: economy, environment, and social equity. Four duplexes on a former brownfield site in east Austin model how homes can be designed, constructed, and operated to achieve true net-zero energy performance. The session will discuss: cost-effective design strategies; how the units are actually performing; and lessons learned for future development phases.

*Course marked "SD" may qualify for Sustainable Design for the Texas Board of Architectural Examiners.
