Description
Rammed earth is a building technique that is both beautiful and sustainable. Its unique material and thermal properties must be thoughtfully addressed based on the climate in which it is located. Through a case study, this session will explore rammed earth construction, including: specification considerations; the integration of building systems; and energy performance. Our discussion panel will include the architect, contractor, and energy consultant of a rammed earth residence in the Hill Country.

*Courses marked "SD" may qualify for Sustainable Design for the Texas Board of Architectural Examiners.
