Description
DesignVoice is an AIA Austin committee that facilitates opportunities for design professionals to serve their community through collaborative design-focused events. Through case studies of several community projects, DesignVoice co-chairs and partners will share tools for success and lessons learned, including insights on community design charettes and competitions, organizational partnerships, fundraising methods, stakeholder involvement, and post-occupancy evaluation. This session will be particularly useful for those at the threshold of their own community-engaged design work.
