The devastation caused by Hurricane Harvey and other natural disasters in recent months underscores that building infrastructure and lifeline systems to enhance resiliency is a state and national imperative. Panelists will explore the role that architects play in addressing climate change challenges such as flooding, drought, and sea level rise. They will also discuss gaps that exist in current local and regional standards, and how communities can prepare for the future by addressing ecological, economic and social vulnerabilities.
